MISSION STATEMENT
 
The Letcher County Planning Commission is dedicated to providing sustainable citizen-based planning for the future of Letcher County for educational, recreational and economic progress for all its citizens, ensuring equal opportunity.
 

GOALS 
To assist in the hiring and maintaining of a Director of Economic Development
To increase the number of good-paying jobs
​To expand and improve infrastructure
To promote and develop tourism
To improve educational access, facilities, and programs for students in elementary, secondary, and post-secondary schools
